At the beginning of the year, the Starbucks bakery Princi launched the Italien dessert Maritozzo (マリトッツォ). This dessert bread, a sweet roll of bread filled with creme, originally from Rome can now be had with a new summer flavor.
This spring a sakura version was released, as you might expect with it being a Japanese version of something released in spring, what is NOT sakura flavored? The sakura Maritozzo had a pale pink creme filling topped with sakura powder.
This summer a “Limone & Mango” Maritozzo is available. Made with the same silky smooth buttery brioche bread, this time the filling is mixed with lemon pure and lemon zest for that refreshing taste. It is topped with a mango sauce to round it all of.
The “Limone & Mango” is available until the end of September and cost 453 yen for takeout and 462 yen for eat-in (tax included). It’s available in five locations; Princi Daikanyama T-SITE, Starbucks Reserve Roastery Tokyo, Starbucks Reserve Store Ginza Maronie Street, Starbucks Coffee Marunouchi Oazo, and Starbucks Coffee Newman Yokohama.
